About Ribeira de Pena

Ribeira de Pena is a municipality in the District of Vila Real in the Portuguese region of Norte. The population in 2011 was 6,268, in an area of 208.20 km². The municipality is located in the northeastern corner of Portugal, bordering on both Spain and the Braga district. It is bordered by Resende to the southwest, Vinhais to the west, Vila Pouca de Aguiar to the northwest, Vila Nova de Foz Côa to the northeast, Boticas to the southeast, and Vila Real to the south.
